We will provide mentorship to students in their first year in Animal Science, Animal Science and Management, Agricultural and Environmental Education, and Wildlife, Fish, Conversation, and Biology (including freshmen, transfers, students who change majors, students with an interest in animal science, etc.) by pairing students with upperclassmen in the latter years of their major to provide a mentor that offers guidance on classes, campus help, and more. We will aim to pair students with peers who share the same major, minor, minor interest, career goals, or other similar interests. At the very least, we hope that this club will give students an easy route to meeting fellow peers within their major and forming a greater sense of community within the Animal Science Department.

Bike Thief is a proposed literary magazine that will be based in the English graduate department of UC Davis, and run primarily by Creative Writing MFA students, though other graduate students would be enthusiastically welcomed.
Although Creative Writing at UC Davis has sustained a long history of graduate success, the MFA degree itself is only about six years old. In those six years, the English graduate department has built up a renowned faculty and graduated multiple cohorts of talented writers, but the program itself is still relatively obscure to prospective MFA applicants, especially in comparison to other UC MFA programs such as those of Irvine and San Diego. This is in part due to its age, but also due to its lack of a graduate-run literary magazine. For many students, writers of all ages, a literary magazine is often their first point of reference for MFA programs and schools. Ploughshares, for example, is one of the most prestigious literary magazines in the country, and as a result many have Emerson College, Ploughshare’s parent university, on their radars when applying to MFA programs. The same goes for Willow Springs at Eastern Washington University, The Idaho Review at Boise State, and The Brooklyn Review at CUNY Brooklyn.
A student-run literary magazine to prospective MFA students is comparable to a well-established research facility to a neurobiologist. It not only provides the program with wider name recognition, but more importantly, it provides students with hands-on experience in publishing that cannot be gained solely in a classroom. For the past few years, the MFA program housed the traveling literary magazine, Huizache, and so many of the students found their experience reading slush piles, working with contributors, and coordinating galleys invaluable to the whole of their graduate education. Bike Thief will provide that same experience for years more of MFA students to come, as UC Davis’ own publication. Students will be able to work together to coordinate their own submission dates, establish publication timelines, and perform outreach to different writers and artists. They will learn about galley copies, slushpile readings, and gain formatting skills through experiential learning. At the end of each publication cycle, they will have a tangible compilation of all of their work through the compilation of stories, poems, and artwork that they had a hand in choosing and editing. Being a part of a literary magazine is incredibly rewarding for any writer, and the students who work on it would be able to list it on their resume as publication and editing experience.

The mission of the Construction Management (CM) club is to expose engineering students to the principles of Construction Management and assist them in furthering their careers. Unlike the designing aspect that most engineering students are used to, construction management involves scheduling, risk assessment, quality control, and cost estimation of projects. Our goal is to have students showcase the skills mentioned above in the Associate School of Construction (ASC) competitions, which occur annually in the first week of February.

Our national philanthropy is children's cancer charities, specifically St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. El Club de Español Medico (El Club) seeks to enhance and generate interest in the importance of the Spanish language in the healthcare setting. Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world and the primary/native language for 11 million Californians. Many patients we will serve as future physicians in California use Spanish as the primary language to communicate. UCD seeks to train physicians that will serve our diverse communities, and in CA, the Spanish speaking Latino community is one of the biggest. El Club wants to welcome anyone interested in learning more about Latino culture, the Spanish language, and its people. Generating interest in medical Spanish is one of the first steps in trying to breach the disparities that exist when serving the latino community.

The Beta chapter of the Empowered Arab Sisterhood-Epsilon Alpha Sigma, the first Arab sorority at UC Davis. Connections meet regularly for one academic quarter and are led by staff or faculty facilitators who engage students in discussions surrounding crucial topics related to transitioning to life at UC Davis.

Students who join a Connection will have the opportunity to get to know other first-years in their Connection outside of the classroom. FYAC peer mentors, undergraduate students who are each assigned to one Connection, provide mentoring and plan campus engagement activities for their first-year mentees. The Friends of MSF, Doctors Without Borders, chapter at UC Davis is a student-led organization dedicated to supporting the life-saving medical and humanitarian work of Médecins Sans Frontières. The Global Health SIG provides a resource for medical students and NP/PA students interested in learning about global health issues and the development of potential solutions. As an official Hult Prize campus chapter, we provide entrepreneurship education, mentorship, and a direct pathway for students to compete on the international stage of the Hult Prize, which is the world’s largest student movement for social good entrepreneurship. This unique affiliation distinguishes Hult Prize @ UC Davis from any other student organization on campus, as we are the only group that directly connects students to the Hult Prize Foundation’s global network and $1M startup competition. By focusing on for profit social enterprises aligned with global sustainability goals, we fill a niche no existing UC Davis club addresses, complementing other entrepreneurship and service groups with our specific emphasis on international competition and measurable social impact. In practice, Hult Prize @ UC Davis will host a series of workshops, info sessions, and networking events to equip students with the tools and knowledge to launch their ventures. Our signature event is a campus wide Hult Prize OnCampus pitch competition where student teams pitch innovative startup ideas to solve a designated global challenge. The winning team earns the opportunity to represent UC Davis at a Hult Prize Nationals, which then leads to the global finals, competing for resources and recognition to scale their idea. Throughout this process, we emphasize equity and access in entrepreneurship, and we actively recruit and support first gen college students, low income students, and international students who are often underrepresented in startup spaces. Noor Community Health exists to provide accessible, culturally competent primary and preventive care to the underserved communities of Woodland, CA, primarily first-generation, low-income Pakistani residents. In a region where language barriers, cultural differences, and deep mistrust often keep people from seeking care, we aim to create a safe and welcoming space where patients see providers who look like them, speak their language, and understand their lived experiences. By involving undergraduate pre-health students, medical students, and volunteer physicians, and partnering with local organizations, we will address both immediate healthcare gaps and provide long-term preventive care. Our work will be guided by cultural humility, compassion, equity, community empowerment, education, trust, and respect for our community. Women are underrepresented in the legal field and in the golfing community, but even more underrepresented in golfing legal community. This is something we are empowered to change. Our society welcomes seasoned golfers to those who have never touched a golf club and provides a welcoming and low-stress environment to learn and practice their golf skills. Although marketed first to women, we are a non-exclusive club, welcoming all to join who do not identify as women. Our executive board consists of experienced golfers and beginners, all who are excited to meet those who want to learn more about the sport!

SoNE1 is the first audition based K-pop dance cover crew based in UC Davis. Since its inception in 2012, SoNE1 has aimed to showcase the diversity of the K-pop genre. Our team travels up and down Northern California performing at various showcases and events, such as SJMade in San Jose. In addition to live performances, SoNE1 started our YouTube channel in the summer of 2014. Although SoNE1 has undergone many changes within these past few years, the directors have always emphasized the importance of teamwork and support. We are a family!

Tau Kappa Epsilon is an International Social Fraternity. TKE is the largest college social fraternity in terms of number of active groups. The colors of the fraternity are the shade of red known as Crimson Lake Cherry, and the shade of gray known as Pure Silver Grey. Of the national fraternities founded prior to 1920, TKE is one of the few fraternities that never had a discrimination clause in its membership requirements to prevent membership of men because of their race, color, or creed. TKE was also one of the first fraternities to abolish "Hell week" when in 1928 it was replaced with an initiation period consisting of lessons portraying the finest attribute of brotherhood.

In 2016, medical students from the Keck School of Medicine of USC: Vadim Lincoln, Igor Krivitsky, and Shera Feinstein—developed a skin cancer prevention presentation that led to a partnership with Sun Safety for Kids. They launched the UV&Me program, creating its name, logo, and first website, and served as the founding Medical Student National Directors. Dr. Vadim Lincoln later returned as a Professional Co-Director alongside Dr. Jeff Ashley.

Today, UV&Me operates as a division of Sun Safety for Kids. Its day-to-day activities are overseen by dermatologist co-directors and managed by General Manager Marty Roark, with input from medical student directors. UV&Me chapters at medical schools function as official student organizations, where volunteer medical students deliver approved sun safety presentations to children in classrooms and community settings to help prevent skin cancer. Our goal is to establish a UV&ME chapter here at UC Davis.

The UC Davis Vintage Club exists to open a door that has largely gone unopened on this campus. Vintage and secondhand clothing represents one of the most accessible, creative, and sustainable ways to engage with fashion — yet the knowledge behind it remains untapped in our community.

Our mission is to make that knowledge available to everyone. We believe that understanding vintage — how to find it, evaluate it, style it, and appreciate its history — is a skill with real value, both personally and professionally. Whether you're a first-time thrifter or someone with a passion for textile history, this club is your space to learn, explore, and connect.

We are committed to demystifying the world of secondhand and vintage clothing, and to showing UC Davis students that sustainability and style are not at odds. Beyond the clothes themselves, we see vintage literacy as a genuine business opportunity — one that can launch resale ventures, inform careers in fashion and retail, and contribute to a more thoughtful consumer culture.

Vital Signs is built on a simple but powerful belief: preventive health should be an accessible conversation, not a daunting confrontation. Student life is busy, and routine health checks are often the first thing to be forgotten, leaving basic questions about our bodies unanswered. We are here to change that.
Our mission is to demystify basic healthcare and build a healthier, more informed campus community from the ground up. We achieve this by stepping out of the traditional clinic and meeting you where you already are. Our model is intentionally simple and direct: we set up pop-up stations in high-traffic areas. You stop by for a no-cost, five-minute check-in. In that short time, you receive a confidential screening of key vital signs like blood pressure, but more importantly, you receive immediate, clear context about what those numbers mean for you. We bridge the gap between a measurement and understanding, empowering you with knowledge on the spot and connecting you to the full spectrum of campus resources for any follow-up care. This is health empowerment, reimagined for campus life.

Create a Chinese-speaking environment where anyone can start to learn or improve their Chinese proficiency.

As someone who started learning Chinese a year and a half ago, I understand how hard the basics can be, even with the help of a teacher. My goal for this club is to create an immersive and judgment-free environment so that everyone has more opportunities to speak Chinese.

This club will be able to assist those who are unable to take Chinese classes due to schedule conflicts or any other reason. I almost did not continue studying Chinese due to the 5 days of classes every week for Chinese 1 through Chinese 6. It was not that I didn’t like having class every day, but it affected the order in which I took certain classes for my major. There will also be workshops held by our board of directors for beginners to work on pronunciation and practice speaking. I believe pronunciation is extremely important and wouldn’t encourage anyone to do a lot of speaking practice until they have the basics of pinyin and tones.

This club will also benefit both intermediate speakers and those who studied Chinese as kids but forgot a lot. I have found that just being back in an immersive environment can help bring back a lot of passive knowledge into active knowledge. In addition, this club will benefit advanced and native speakers as more and more people will be exposed to learning Chinese. I have sent a poll to some of my friends who are native speakers, and they said they would be willing to come to the meetings and work with the members once I have everything going.

I plan to have the first 10 minutes of the meetings in English and the last 10 minutes in English. My board directors and I can decide whether or not we should decrease the window of English time later. I will announce stuff they can talk about during the 40-minute immersive window, such as fundraisers or other socials. During the 40-minute immersive period, members, depending on their level, will only be advised to speak Chinese. For example, people currently in Chinese 1-3 will intertwine some English and Chinese, but people in Chinese 4-6 are advised only to use Chinese; if they don’t know how to say something, they can jot down the English on a piece of paper and then look it up later or ask native speakers during the last 10 minutes of the meeting. Although I believe people should not form bad habits, I also believe as long as you either of a grasp of some Chinese grammar or are a beginner and have a few sentences, then that is what you can practice. The idea that practice needs to be perfect is important, but as long as you are surrounded by people who can correct you, I think the most important thing to do is just speak Chinese. The more you speak, the more you will start to think in this language. I will also do my best to encourage members to think in Chinese and talk to themselves in Chinese. The more Chinese, the better.

This club will allow everyone who is studying Chinese to practice what they are learning. As members of different levels of speaking and listening ability collaborate, they will get better at listening comprehension and take less time between sentences to speak Chinese.
