About Us
Noor Community Health exists to provide accessible, culturally competent primary and preventive care to the underserved communities of Woodland, CA, primarily first-generation, low-income Pakistani residents. In a region where language barriers, cultural differences, and deep mistrust often keep people from seeking care, we aim to create a safe and welcoming space where patients see providers who look like them, speak their language, and understand their lived experiences. By involving undergraduate pre-health students, medical students, and volunteer physicians, and partnering with local organizations, we will address both immediate healthcare gaps and provide long-term preventive care. Our work will be guided by cultural humility, compassion, equity, community empowerment, education, trust, and respect for our community. Our goal is to be a primary home for care and bridge patients to higher-level specialties when needed and help the community overcome daily barriers to live healthy lives.
