This group plays an important role in what looks like exploited children or struggling families. They are committed to creating a homelike environment for children and youth during transition periods in their lives

Yolo County District Attorney’s Office

The Yolo County D.A.'s Office offers resources through its three sectors:

Human trafficking unit

Child abduction unit

Victim assistance & family protection

Yolo County Child Welfare Services

They offer a 24/7 abuse reporting line for reporting suspected child neglect or abuse, ensuring timely intervention and support for affected children

This could be a resource that is shared as more of awareness that there are places to report things like child abuse

Yolo County Health & Human Services – Trafficking and Crime Victim Assistance Program

Provides assistance to victims of human trafficking, including referrals to local organizations and resources for support and recovery

Offers 24/7 crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling, and safe shelter for survivors of human trafficking. The organization also hosts community forums to raise awareness and educate the public on trafficking issues.

Make It Happen For Yolo County

What they do: “Make it Happen for Yolo County is a small, non-profit providing furniture and household goods as well as support, resources and advocacy for underserved transition age youth of Yolo County. Those that age out of the foster care system have a high risk of homelessness. Make it Happen provides the resources and items necessary to help towards creating a stable living situation for these young adults. ”
