About Us
Chem-E-Car is an engineering design team that designs and builds a shoebox-sized car powered and stopped by chemical reaction(s). We take our car to compete in the annual American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Western Regionals Student Conference, where we must adjust our developed reactions to make our car move and stop at a specified distance. The design team is split into three sub-teams, which typically meet on a weekly basis. The meeting days and times are decided on a quarterly basis, based on students' availability.
