About Us
The Women of Color Collective (WOCC) is dedicated to creating a safe and empowering community for women of color at UC Davis School of Law (King Hall). We empower our members by fostering a close-knit community in a historically exclusionary and patriarchal field and institution. We create spaces where students identifying as women of color can build community and discuss personal, academic, professional, and social issues in the legal field. Our goal is to foster solidarity with other organizations, practicing attorneys, community organizers, and scholars, in the pursuit of equity in the legal field. Women of Color Collective is an affinity organization that openly engages in community organizing efforts and ensures King Hall is aligned with its public interest mission. All individuals at UC Davis School of Law are welcome to participate in WOCC activities and programs, even if they do not identify as women of color.
