About Us
Seismic Design is a student-led competition team that designs and constructs earthquake-resistant structures for the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) Annual Seismic Design Competition. Our goal is to provide students with valuable design experience in the collaborative and cross-functioning nature of civil engineering; from studying site geology for considerable risks to designing a structure against those risks while still featuring a unique architectural style. Seismic Design fosters student interest in earthquake engineering and encourages continued pursuit of the field, contributing to the growth of the earthquake engineering community and the development of safer, more resilient communities.
