About Us
The National Undergraduate Research Network (NURN) is dedicated to empowering undergraduate students to lead impactful research, forge meaningful connections with faculty and peers, and shape their future as the next generation of researchers. Our mission is to break down barriers to entry in academic research by providing accessible resources, personalized mentorship, and dynamic networking opportunities. We aim to create a nationwide community of undergraduate researchers who support one another, learn collaboratively, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge across all disciplines. Through workshops, events, and hands-on support, we help undergraduates build confidence, gain valuable research experience, and prepare for graduate school and beyond. Through initiatives like the National Undergraduate Research Network Conference, where students present their work and learn from established researchers, and regular PhD and Alumni Speaker Series events featuring expert insights and career pathways, we foster a collaborative community of researchers across disciplines. Our Research Resume and CV Workshops, Cold Email Clinics, and 1-to-1 Mentorship Program ensure every student is equipped with the tools and confidence to succeed in research.
