About Us
The Davis Flint Knapping Club is dedicated to promoting hands-on experience with experimental archaeology and fostering greater involvement of the UC Davis student body in the field of Anthropology. Our mission is to enhance accessibility to practical learning experiences by hosting interactive workshops that demonstrate the use of materials such as obsidian, bone, and shell from prehistoric and historic lifeways. Additionally, we strive to build a community of students with shared interests in experimental archaeology by providing information on relevant internship opportunities, academic events, and conferences relating to the field of Archaeology.
