Hello Club Members and Public Health Enthusiasts! We hope your week 3 is going well and everyone is enjoying their classes.
CLUB NEWS
We have many things that will be coming up in the future that we are very excited for!
Are you planning on graduating this school year and are continuing your education through graduate schools/PhD programs? We would love to hear from you in our survey so that we can congratulate you and showcase you at our meeting! Graduating Survey
A reminder that the election for club officials is still ongoing and we are accepting candidates for all positions: President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Financial Advisor. The transition will be a quarter-long turnover to show the new leadership team the ins and outs of the club. At week 5, the new leadership team will begin to take over and then roll into their leadership year after SQ22. If interested, please feel free to email the club email or email if you have any questions about any of the positions!
We sent out a survey to all club members to let us know when you would like to have spring quarter meetings held. You can find the survey here: https://qfreeaccountssjc1.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bftnozJrZIDI1V4
We will be starting up our workshops again this quarter for graduate school resources, such as resume building, help with Statements of Purpose and Personal Histories, etc, as well as help with internships! These will be held on the same days/times as club meetings, however will be on the weeks that we do not have official club meetings. Keep an eye out for an email about when meetings will be once we determine the outcomes of the meeting survey.

Student Letter for Global Vaccine Justice
Billions of people around the world still don’t have access to the COVID-19 vaccines, tests and treatments that many Americans take for granted. This ongoing inequality is causing thousands of preventable deaths each day, and threatens to spark a new variant that could restart COVID disruptions again for everyone.
It doesn’t have to be this way! We’re looking for 1,000 students willing to speak out together to demand that the Biden administration stand up to greedy pharmaceutical monopolies and remove barriers to increased global production of vaccines, diagnostics and therapeutics.
If you believe everyone deserves the same right to COVID tests and treatments, please sign the letter below now. Once you’ve done so, please encourage your friends and classmates to do the same.
Together, we can help save lives and end the pandemic. Please add your name to the letter here.
