About Us
The purpose of the SVME is to promote and facilitate consideration and discussion of ethical issues during veterinary coursework and training. This will be accomplished by hosting professionals from the local and broader community to give veterinary students diverse educational opportunities. We intend to provide online seminars, in-person lectures when possible, host debates, and to collaborate with other student organizations and community leaders to create a safe space where experiences, statistics, opinions, and knowledge can be shared and pertinent veterinary medico-ethical issues examined. We will promote interdisciplinary communication within the UC Davis professional community and are committed to engaging in open and honest dialogue.
