Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS)

  • Our Mission

    The mission of POCUS at UC Davis is to provide early exposure to the role of point of care ultrasound in Primary Care and Emergency Medicine. Students will have the opportunity to master basic procedural techniques, expand upon basic ultrasound education, and prepare for eligibility of POCUS certification.

    POCUS at UC Davis will pursue competency in the role of bedside ultrasound in diagnosis of pathology and provide students with additional clinical skills for their future practice. POCUS at UC Davis seeks to foster inter-professional relationships and development across medical practice.

Our first POCUS Meeting!

30+ students attend out first POCUS meeting to learn of the importance of ultrasounds in clinical practice.

POCUS at iSCAN Competition!

6 UC Davis PA students competing against other PA programs throughout the nation.

July 23, 2024
Our club is official!

Our club becomes an official club through the UC Davis Aggie Life Website.

After the club launching in 2023 and starting in 2024, these members proudly won 12th out of 55+ teams throughout the country at the 2024 iSCAN competition. We can't wait to see what our future members can achieve!
