About Us
The Music Graduate Student Association (MGSA) serves the needs of graduate students in the UC Davis Music , Department. We meet once each quarter to discuss comments, concerns, and questions graduate students have about the program, including program requirements, courses, faculty searches, recruitment, and department orientation. Officer representatives meet semiannually with the faculty graduate committee to discuss student concerns. Each spring, the MGSA presents the MGSA Service Award to acknowledge a music department faculty or staff member who has provided outstanding service to music graduate students. The MGSA also plans a department orientation for incoming students in the fall.
