About Us

MENASA aims to celebrate the diversity within our medical student population. The group hopes to increase both awareness of Middle Eastern, North African, & South Asian culture at UCDSOM as well as cultural competency by hosting events to celebrate holidays, commemorate traditions, and explore relevant issues in regards to the care of Middle Eastern, North African, and South Asian patients. We hope to establish an environment that promotes cross-cultural communication between not only medical students but also medical students and their future patients.
