About Us
Students will meet to share experiences of observing and documenting the natural world. Members will expand their knowledge and understanding of the diversity of species local to the Davis area, including plants, insects, fungi, birds, mammals, and more. Members will learn how to upload their photos to iNaturalist, a free public database, where organisms are identified. All students are welcome, especially students who enjoy hiking, the outdoors, or photography. No prior knowledge of local species or special photography equipment necessary (mobile phone cameras are fine). The club will document organisms on iNaturalist.org. On iNaturalist, anyone can map and upload photos of an organism and get it identified.
