About Us

Hands on the Land seeks to cultivate a mindset of place-based renewal among people at UC Davis and beyond. We believe working hands and minds can nurture a thriving ecosystem. Our goal is to cultivate a mindset of place-based renewal through hands-on learning. We expect our members to give what they can, whether it be physical labor, intellect, or a novel perspective on our surroundings. Our work addresses large scale issues, such as climate change, through small, local solutions. Through community engagement and creative land management, we hope to restore functional landscapes together.
