About Us

VOICE (Veterinarians as One Inclusive Community for Empowerment) is a student run organization that addresses the need for diversity and inclusion in the field of veterinary medicine at UC Davis. The purpose of VOICE is to celebrate all facets of diversity within the profession of veterinary medicine and provide a campus environment that embraces such values and promotes the success of students, particularly underrepresented students. It is our goal to to promote the importance of diversity within in veterinary medicine in order to meet the needs of our clientele. We will also promote the veterinary profession, provide leadership and mentorship to any youth, particularly underrepresented youth, interested in careers in veterinary medicine. The National VOICE chapter continues to strive to establish a chapter at each veterinary college and create a national network of mentors in the various fields of veterinary medicine, and establish a fund that will reward veterinary students for showing outstanding leadership and commitment in the area of diversity. We are funded by Zoetis.
