About Us

Welcome to SEEESA! We are a student association aiming to represent students from Slavic, East European and Eurasian backgrounds. Our mission is to facilitate networking among the students and health professionals of Slavic, East European & Eurasian descent as well as those interested in learning something about the history, culture, art and cuisine of countries east of the Berlin Wall during the Cold War. The Greater Sacramento area is home to a large number of people coming from former Sovietic countries, many of whom also happen to be our patients. We aim to organize talks, workshops and events focused on fostering cultural competency and understanding the challenges faced by Slavic, Eastern European and Eurasian patients in the US.
