Happy week 4! We hope you’re settling into your classes alright. Thank you to those that stopped by at the involvement fair and to those that were able to make it to our Info Night last week! We are so excited to get to know you all in this quarter. ๐Ÿค—
 
In case you couldn’t make it, here’s what you missed. We’re the undergraduate chapter of the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science at UC Davis. Our goal as a club is to create a supportive community of Chicanos and Native Americans in STEM where we can all feel supported and celebrated. We will frequently host professional development workshops, research seminars, and socials to ensure our club members can make the most of their undergraduate experience at UC Davis. Here is a run-down of our upcoming events!

Research Seminar: Professor John Albeck ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿผ‍๐Ÿ”ฌ
  • TOMORROW, Tuesday October 21, 7 pm - 8 pm, Wellman 212
  • Prof. John Albeck studies the metabolic pathways that contribute to cell proliferation, growth, and differentiation, as he aims to investigate major questions in the progression of diseases like cancer, [...], and [...]. Come join us as he presents his research and we ask him questions about how to get into research, think like a scientist, and make the most of your undergraduate research experience. Come prepared with questions!
