About Us

The Mental Advocacy and Health Initiative (MAHI) at UC Davis is dedicated to assisting people in navigating and advocating for their mental health through engaging events featuring inspirational speakers, public outreach, and various workshops. By supporting and encouraging students to look for resources for self-guided improvement of mental well-being and by highlighting the significance of healthy coping strategies, MAHI strives to create an empowering atmosphere where students can feel heard about certain mental health issues and encourages them to take action for the overall betterment of their mental health. Our club conducts workshops and guidance sessions covering many elements of improving mental health in an effort to highlight the need of giving mental health first priority. Through raising awareness, advocating for mental health issues, and encouraging proactive self-care and coping mechanisms, MAHI aims to establish a mental health-positive campus culture at UC Davis.
