About Us

The objective of Impeckable chickens is to provide safe homes for neglected, unwanted, or abandoned animals within the greater Davis area. This goal is accomplished by providing information on the proper care of these animals and hands-on working experience with the flock at the UC Davis Chicken Coop.

Members will learn how to spot abnormal behaviors within chickens and when to seek medical attention for the animal. They will also learn about the veterinarian requirements that qualify clics to provide emergency care, among other important information.

This organization will give students the ability to make an informed decision when starting their own flocks. The group will also advise members on how to sex chicks, and evaluate temperaments by breed. This way, unwanted cockerels (roosters) or aggressive hens will not be abandoned after purchase from the local feed store.
