Mission
The Global Perspectives Initiative (GPI) is a student-alumni collective dedicated to advocating for curriculum reform in One Health courses. Drawing upon anti-racism, anti-colonialism, trauma-informed practices, ethnic studies, disability justice scholarship, and our own experiences, our innovative framework particularly explores three under-addressed themes: lived experiences, community engagement, and cultural humility. We recognize these themes as particularly relevant to One Health courses, and we understand that they have remained under-addressed in higher education, especially in STEM courses, for decades.

Some of the work we do includes collaborating with instructors, building course modules, and researching student experiences with curricula and learning environments.
