We’re excited to see familiar faces returning and to welcome our newest members to Advocates for Missing and Exploited Children (AMEC). Together, we’ll continue raising awareness, supporting families, and making a meaningful difference this quarter.
Here are some important updates to begin the year:
๐ First Club Meeting for Fall 2025
๐ Date: Wednesday, October 8
โฐ Time: 6:00–7:00 PM
๐ Zoom: Click Here (Meeting ID: 834 025 1174)
AMEC's first meeting of the quarter will be held online as we continue looking for a permanent meeting space on campus. This introductory meeting will provide a general overview of our program, outline member expectations, and allow officers to answer any questions. Meeting details and the link will be shared soon.
๐ Involvement Fair – Fall 2025
๐ Date: Wednesday, October 15
โฐ Time: 12:00–3:00 PM
๐ Location: East & West Patio, Memorial Union Quad
Our first tabling opportunity of the year will be at the UC Davis Involvement Fair on October 15 from 12-3 PM. This is a chance to connect with students, raise awareness about AMEC, and invite others to join our cause. We encourage all members to participate and communicate their interest to a club officer.
Mandatory Training Reminder
Per AMEC's commitment to continual training of members, as found here in our constitution, all members are required to complete two hours of mandatory training to remain in good standing with the club. Free training materials can be found on NCMEC's website; once complete, submit a screenshot of your chosen training materials to amecatucdavis@gmail.com. Please ensure this is completed as soon as possible if you haven’t already.
We’re looking forward to a strong start this quarter filled with advocacy, community, and impact. Thank you for your continued dedication to AMEC’s mission.
With gratitude, AMEC Officer Board
