Advocates for Missing & Exploited Children (AMEC) Newsletter
Hello to all of our new and current members! We hope your courses are going well and that the quarter has been kind to you so far. AMEC has been hard at work behind the scenes, and we’re thrilled to share that we are finalizing several exciting opportunities for our members to volunteer in-person at upcoming funding and advocacy events. Thank you all for being part of this growing community dedicated to supporting missing and exploited children and their families.
Funding & Grant Development
We are currently in the process of applying for grants and funding opportunities while also finalizing partnerships with local businesses to support AMEC’s mission. Throughout the month, we will share updates as these opportunities develop and open up. Our goal is to secure sustainable financial support that will allow us to host more impactful advocacy events and expand our outreach. Stay tuned for announcements as we continue building relationships and laying a strong foundation for growth.
Volunteer Opportunities & Collaborations
Volunteer opportunities will be announced throughout the month, pending the finalization of our agreements with local businesses and vendors. These events will give members a chance to participate directly in AMEC’s mission and engage with the community. Additionally, if you know of any clubs, organizations, or businesses that share our values, we would love to connect! Collaborating with like-minded groups helps amplify awareness for both causes and strengthens the network of advocacy here at UC Davis and beyond.
Membership Requirements & Training
A reminder to all members that everyone must complete the Membership Approval Form, which can be found on both our website and AggieLife profile. Those who signed up during the Involvement Fair still need to complete this step in order to be an active member. Additionally, anyone who would like to volunteer at future AMEC events must complete the NCMEC Training linked on our website. This training ensures all volunteers are properly informed and prepared to represent AMEC’s mission and values.
We are incredibly grateful for every single person who has joined AMEC and contributed to the club’s growth and recognition. Thank you for your continued passion, dedication, and support.
